Features

Schurco P Series are designed to provide exceptional performance in high head mine dewatering as well as general dewatering applications.

Single pumps can achieve heads over 50% higher than standard slurry pumps. These dewatering pumps are ideal for dirty water and light slurry (slurry-specific gravities of roughly 1.05), and provide the end user with the ultimate in reliability.

Wet End

Impeller Double volute design to reduce radial loads, and thrust reduction impeller design to reduce axial thrust loads, thus enhancing bearing life.

Casing Wet-end components are manufactured in wear-resistant alloys to suit the application, providing these pumps with unique wear advantages over many similar pumps on the market.

Seals

Schurco Slurry offers multiple shaft sealing options to match the demands of each pumping application. Whether prioritizing simplicity, waterless operation, or leak-free performance, we provide sealing solutions that maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

Bearing Assembly

Cartridge-style bearing housing allows for removal from pump and assembly in controlled environment

Oversized shaft diameters and reduced overhang in the wet end contribute to long life and reliability in the field

Oil bath lubrication for higher operating speeds against the standard grease lubrication in other assemblies

Frame and Shaft

Designed for front pull-out or back pull-out dismantling of the frame and shaft assembly from the casing, which remains in place, connected to the intake and discharge pipework. This enables a rapid replacement of frame and shaft assembly with a standby unit, while leaving the pipework undisturbed.

Stuffing box Seal

Stuffing Box Seal

A classic and reliable sealing method, the stuffing box uses packing rings compressed by a gland to restrict slurry leakage around the shaft. Still one of the most widely used slurry pump seals, it requires seal water supplied at a pressure higher than pump discharge pressure to function effectively.

Expeller Seal

Expeller or centrifugal Seal

The expeller seal is a dynamic, waterless sealing solution that uses centrifugal force to prevent slurry leakage while the pump is running. It’s an excellent choice for applications where external seal water is unavailable, undesirable, or difficult to maintain. By eliminating the need for gland sealing water, the expeller seal reduces operating costs and simplifies maintenance. A grease-packed static seal prevents leakage when the pump is idle. Ideal for moderate suction conditions, the expeller seal offers reliable performance in tough environments with minimal infrastructure.

Mechanical Seal

Mechanical Seal

Mechanical seals provide superior sealing performance in high-pressure, high-temperature, or environmentally sensitive slurry applications. They use precision-engineered rotating and stationary faces to form a tight seal around the shaft, minimizing leakage even under severe conditions. Schurco Slurry primarily utilizes cartridge-style mechanical seals, which are preassembled, self-contained units that simplify installation and improve reliability. Mechanical seals are ideal for corrosive or abrasive slurries, or in applications where leakage control is critical.
